Manchester Mission

Manchester Mission was initiated at the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Cartago, Colombia in October 1963. Since that time, Diocesan priests, Sisters of Mercy, and lay volunteers from our diocese have served there. Ms. Claire Aucoin, RN of Henniker, NH went to Cartago in 1966 to join the medical/health program and has been there since. Claire opened many new services and now cares for over 400 people, the sick, elderly, incapacitated persons and a home for sickly/abandoned children over the years.
